The TruGolf and Golf 918 integration simplifies daily operations by connecting simulator controls with facility management in one system, powered by booking data.
Initial Set Up
Begin by creating your TruGolf account through the Apex Portal: portal.e6golf.com
Launch Apex Game Client on your simulator and login to the Apex Game Client with your TruGolf account credentials
Select your device, and then your Apex license to properly bind your license to your chosen device(s).
Then, navigate to portal.e6golf.com/shop/premiumcourses/product/446 to purchase the Scheduling Permission for your license(s) and assign them to the licenses for your simulators.
To set up the integration the user must navigate to the “Integrations” tab in their Golf 918 dashboard to locate the TruGolf integration. The user will find a button that prompts them to connect their TruGolf portal account and following that button takes them to login to their portal account to grant the integration permissions.
From here, users will now go back to their Golf 918 dashboard and see that the TruGolf integration box has changed to show the accounts are connected. In this box there will now be an option to “Configure”.
By opening the configuration tab the user can now assign the simulator-specific license to its corresponding bay and once that is complete the initial set up is done. Alternatively, the user can also go to the Bay details view, and the associated TruGolf license will be shown and can be changed there as well.
The license list shown will show the “friendly” name of the license in TruGolf. In the TruGolf software, go to Licenses, click the pencil icon to rename your license (for example: “Bay 1”.)
You must ensure that your license is bound to the TruGolf hardware (or simulator) and that you have added the Scheduling Permission from the Store in Portal.
Integration Usage
Now that the bays are properly connected to their E6 licenses, and the licenses are bound to your TruGolf hardware, the integration can be used properly. There are both automated and manual controls available to the user.
Automated
Blocking the Game Sim: The simulators will automatically enter a blocked state after a booking. The screen displayed will show a QR code for customers to extend an existing booking
Extended Play: 15 minutes prior to the end of the booked time the simulator will offer the player the opportunity to pay for and extend their booking via QR code on the simulator screen if there are no players booked immediately following the original booking time.
Manual
Controls: In the “Bays” tab of the Golf 918 system the user will now see an additional column labeled “TruGolf” when the integration is active. In this column the user will find a “Control” option in every license-enabled bay. This control option opens up with four different functions.
Continue Game: Allows the user to bypass the automated power off time for the players.
Start With Reset: Resets the simulator and begins a new game.
Send Warning: Manually prompts the extended play/end time notification
End Game: Powers the simulator down manually and ends the active game.
Booking Controls
Located when opening Booking Details by selecting an active or upcoming booking in the calendar layout or Booking Dashboard in the “Bookings” tab.
Disable Warning Messages: Prevents end time warning notifications from displaying for specific booking.
Disable Automatic Turn On: Prevents the simulator from automatically turning on at the start of a booking.
Disable Automatic Turn Off: Prevents the simulator from automatically turning off at the end of a booking.
