Membership Set-Ups
To begin setting up a membership tier select the “+ New” button in the upper right corner.
In the General tab is where you will give your membership tier a name, description, and manage pricing.
The description is viewable by the public.
By toggling the membership to “Internal Only”, customers cannot publicly purchase a membership and must contact the facility to have a membership assigned.
If “Internal Only” is enabled, you can also enable “Managed” which prevents customers from being able to make any changes to their membership without contacting the facility. This includes changing pricing tiers or cancelling memberships.
Pricing is also created in the “General” tab. Here you can assign multiple billing options as well as billing cycles. Under each payment tier you will be able to view the number of active (paid) subscriptions and pending (awaiting payment) subscriptions.
The other way to configure membership pricing is using dynamic pricing. This allows the price to fluctuate based on specified dates. Ex. Decreasing the membership rate over the off-peak season to incentivize your members to maintain their membership subscriptions. These dynamic rates can be set for any/all billing cycles as well.
Golf 918 supports the automation of two types of membership perks, the first is reduced rates.
In the hours tab you can configure membership-specific hours and pricing in the same way that you did for the overall facility.
In this example, the membership is given off-peak reduced rates. So, hours were edited to give a reduced rate only for Mon-Thurs during off-peak hours and Fri-Sun were left to “inherit” the regular facility pricing. You can also set pricing to $0 and delete the credit value to offer unlimited/”free” play memberships.
The second type of perk that our memberships support is “free” play, assigned in credits.
In the “Settings” tab you can toggle “Enable Credits” on and this allows you to assign recurring credits with any membership. The recurrence settings can be either daily, weekly, or monthly. The system will always interpret credits as 1 credit = 1 minute so the example is showing 4 hours of “free” play per month. Membership credits do not accumulate. At the end of each recurrence period the balance is refreshed or restored, but is unable to be banked.
In the “Fees” tab you are able to configure fees specific to your members in the same way you can for the overall facility. This will override the facility rules.
The “Bay Hours” tab allows you to assign membership access to specific bays, such as a VIP bay or suite, that you may not want available to the general public. You select which bay you want to add either access or extended hours for and then assign the times and pricing associated with booking that bay. If using this feature, be sure to “Close” the specific bay hours in the “Bays” tab, otherwise it will still be bookable to the public as well. This also works in a situation where you may want to offer a suite at a reduced rate to members but the full rate to the public.
